Business and Economic Activity Survey

There is strong evidence that shows that entrepreneurs and business owners from Black & Mixed Black Heritage backgrounds are disproportionately disadvantaged when trying to access real and tangible help in their business’ journey.

This survey is crucial In helping us to understand and identify where the disparities exist and your responses will help us advocate for and address the inequalities where they exist.

Constituting the SuffolkBlack Community Forum

For the SBCF to achieve it’s objectives and maintain the goal of creating a one-voice advocacy service for the Black community, it will need to be constituted with support from the entire community in order to be the key stakeholder in partnership development with other stakeholders across the county.

It also means, the SBCF, will be able to reach beyond the borders of Suffolk in collaboration with other Black organisations across the country and beyond.

What Is Happening Now

The following steps have been recommended for the next stages of constituting the Forum.

1. Expression of Interest for (Associate) Directorship, Trusteeship & Wider (Corporate & Community) Membership

2. Nominations for Key Positions (Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Fundraiser, Business Affairs, Compliance & Operations)

3. Registration of the Forum as a Charity

It is therefore, of critical importance to come along and share your views and contribute wherever you can as we accelerate the process of formally constituting the Forum.

Business and Economic Activity Survey

Step 1 of 6

Why are we conducting the survey?

There is some evidence that shows entrepreneurs and business owners from Black & Mixed Black Heritage backgrounds are disproportionately disadvantaged when trying to access real and tangible help in their business’ journey.

Why your opinion matters?

As a business owner, founder or entrepreneur, this survey is crucial in helping us to understand and identify where the disparities exist.

What happens next?

The results of this survey will be analysed and where your responses highlight any inequalities, knowledge or skills gap, we will advocate for equality and where possible, create a pathway for you to access the relevant help in order to build or continue to grow your business successfully.

Thanks for participating
