Representing the Black and Mixed Black Heritage Communities in Suffolk to advocate for equitable representation that builds relationships, bridges the inequality gap and promotes our shared and enriched culture.
The Suffolk Black Community Forum is a springboard to bring all members of the Black Community in Suffolk together to discuss, plan and lead the way in shaping the future for Black people living in Suffolk.
As members of the Black Community, our beliefs are grounded in the Ubuntu principle, our heritage and cultural values, and thus, strive to build an inclusive community where we all work together with other communities to create an equitable future for all.
To continue building and develop a coherent approach to solving problems for black people in Suffolk by working together to deliver solutions that recognises the inequalities and equity gap which impacts the community.
Our intention is to advocate for equality, equitable representation and be the voice for the Black Community in Suffolk.
The Suffolk Black Community Forum aims to build bridges across cultures, raise aspirations and expectations of our people, instill cultural & educational values, improve the health and well-being of our community, use business to inspire and implement solutions to solve problems and develop partnerships to create economic equity for black people that will benefit all communities.
Our mission is simply, to Educate, Empower and Enrich lives through health, self development and economic empowerment.
As an inclusive community forum, we are committed to hearing from you to learn about your views, experiences, expectations and opinions about how we can help make the Black Community more equitable for the benefit of all communities.

Our Social Causes
The Suffolk Black Community Forum will build bridges across cultures, raise aspirations and expectations of our people to implement solutions that solve problems and develop partnerships to create economic equity for black people that will benefit all communities.
Building bridges: Various heritage backgrounds and other communities
Raising Aspirations & Expectations: Mentoring, promoting excellence and demand high standards of ourselves.
Instilling Cultural & Educational Values: Helping educational institutions to bridge the History and Social curriculum deficit and ensuring cultural activities are not limited to one month a year.
Improving Health & Well-being: Develop health awareness and a preventive strategy to avoid and limit the long term impact of underlying health risks associated with black people whilst promoting a culture of traditional healthier holistic lifestyle.
Employment: Working with employers and recruiters to navigate the often complex and ambiguous processes that negatively impacts black people both looking for employment and within the workplace.
Using Business to Inspire and Create Economic Equity: Promote excellence in black businesses, boost entrepreneurship and be a catalyst for bridging the gap for black entrepreneurs to access real help, support, investment and business knowledge to build sustainable businesses that can grow, be profitable and scale.
