SBCF – Black History Event
The Suffolk Black Community Forum (SBCF) is presenting a series of workshops in the month of October to coincide with Black History Month observations and celebrations. The workshops are designed to provide opportunities for individuals and groups from the black community to come together, share and create their visions of what we want to see in the community for ourselves now, in the future, for our families and generations to come.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to reflect, explore and express themselves in a creative workshop utilising the symbolic understanding of Adinkra (a series of symbolic artistry which offers a deep meaning of attributes that connect who we are with our stories) to ‘code’ or write their own story to stay anchored.
The workshops will be organised over four Saturdays in October – Starting from the 8th of October – 29th October 2022.
